高尾山の豊かな森をまちの中心に引き寄せた「繭」のようなかたち。地域の木材を用いた架構がやわらかく人を包み込み、自然光や雨水をも取り込む空間を形づくる。誰もが使いやすく、まちにひらかれた場所となることをめざした。
A cocoon-like form that draws the rich forest of Mt. Takao into the heart of the city. A structure built with local timber gently enfolds people while shaping a space that also gathers natural light and rainwater. It aspires to be a place open to all, easily accessible and welcoming within the city.
