モンゴル・ウランバートルの住宅計画である。
冬には-30度を下回る厳しい気候のもと、本来なら閉じた建築が望まれる。
しかしここでは、花びらが開くように外装が重なり合い、気候に応じてひらかれていく住まいを想像した。
複数の棟が集まれば、春の訪れとともに蕾が一斉にほころぶように、街並みそのものが変化していく。
This project envisions a cluster of houses in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
In a climate where winter temperatures fall below –30°C, buildings are usually closed and sealed.
Here, however, the outer layers unfold like petals, gently opening and closing in response to the weather.
As multiple units gather, they bloom together with the coming of spring, transforming the landscape itself.
